Suzanne Brose has enjoyed a successful career as a Real Estate Broker in Pennsylvania and New York since the early 1970’s. She has owned and operated three thriving Real Estate companies, and worked with a high-profile clientele while acquiring knowledge in all aspects of the business. Suzanne brought her stellar reputation and seasoned expertise to Weichert as Co-Manager of the SoHo NYC office where she not only trains and mentors agents, but is integral in business development and marketing functions. Her exemplary skills and knowledge are invaluable to her company, colleagues and clients alike.
In her tenure, Suzanne has always believed in providing a personal touch and integrity in all her dealings. Hailing from an entrepreneurial family, she made her mark in real estate when the field was just opening up for women. After graduating from Duke University in Durham, NC, Suzanne took advantage of the opportunity, and inspired by her family’s example, went on to found and manage successful real estate brokerage firms, the latest of which was Custom Brokers NYC which she sold to Weichert Realtors. She has been extensively involved in the purchase, sale and investment of luxury real estate from the Upper East Side to downtown Manhattan and other desirable neighborhoods, and is extremely savvy in facilitating complex negotiations.
An active member of REBNY since 1980, Suzanne has complemented her professional experience with numerous personal investments that include properties in TriBeCa, Easton, PA and Mexico. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, she has lived in Manhattan for many years, in the Village, Sutton Place, and currently in TriBeCa just a few blocks from her SoHo office.
Suzanne speaks fluent French as well as some Spanish. She is married to a talented architect who currently is restoring an Elizabethan home outside of Philadelphia. Other than work, she enjoys her family and travel. Suzanne also has a passion for jazz and loves singing in venues throughout the city bringing joy to others through the art of music.
“[Suzanne] and [her] team were so magnificent in [their] handling of our sale and our departure that a thank you is essential. That last day, when all of [them] pitched in and made the hay fly was an utter marvel. Such decency and thoughtfulness is rare in this world… Then to come and bring that tart and champagne was way beyond the call of duty, but a lot of fun. We girls certainly killed that bottle fast and the tart did not have a chance. But what was best was the song at the end that transformed a tough day into one of joy. I thank [them] for all you did for me, picking up rubbish, waiting while the fellows worked, walking me down the street. [They] are the finest of friends.”
“Suzanne Brose has rented my townhouse apartments exclusively for probably 15 years or more. Since I am not always at my building she goes out of her way to look at each apartment as it becomes vacant and tell me what she thinks needs to be done before she rents it again. I always agree with her suggestions and never question her ideas. She even has a group of craftsmen and painters that she can put to work quickly. Some of these people I now use for projects outside of Suzanne's suggestions. She has been able to find me tenants quickly in good times as well as not so good times. We have all heard real estate horror stories about New York City. I have experienced none of those with Suzanne Brose. And all this while she embarks on a sideline career as a singer.”
“Suzanne Brose is a multi-talented businesswoman with unsurpassed integrity and business intuition and ‘savvy.’ Her day-to-day activities are informed not only is her extensive experience in real estate but also by her deep-seated, internal drive to improve ‘what is.’ She is forever recognizing and instigating creative opportunities to further and enrich the business. She is a sensitive, caring and generous manager, interested in cultivating the best in each of her agents while challenging us to pursue our greatest options. As such, Suzanne is an inspiration to me and all of her agents and, I believe, her colleagues and friends, as well. I feel blessed and forever grateful to be a part of her business and life.”
“Suzanne is quick to respond and great at matching personalities with the right people and ideas. She is also genuinely caring about her clients--not just out to make a buck. A great person all around!”
“I wanted to express my sincere thanks to [Suzanne] for all the effort and hard work that [she] put in the selling of [my] apartment. Not only did [she] kindly assist me (in what could be considered a grueling process), but [she] really drove the process. I truly appreciate all that [she] has done.”
